Israel war with Hamas shouldn’t justify collateral punishment against Palestinians. The Palestinian people have been oppressed by Israeli aggression since 1967. Israel is seen carrying out direct ethnic cleansing by besieging Gaza Strip and killing Palestinians who do not leave the designated area as instructed. The world is now questioning the role of the United Nations in dealing with the mounting crisis in Gaza and the increasing number of deaths.
Malaysia’s Prime minister described the mass death of babies and people in Palestine at the hands of Israel as madness. Israel has become too arrogant because of the support provided by the United States (US) and Europe. This reached the level of insanity when the hospital was bombed, and the school was destroyed. Anwar also stressed that Malaysia is not afraid of the threat of Western countries in defending Palestinian rights and will continue to strongly condemn heinous crimes conducted by Israel.
United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs revealed over one-third of hospitals in Gaza and nearly two-thirds of primary health care clinics have shut down due to damage from hostilities or lack of fuel.
Recently, Israel has taken a brutal stance in preventing the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip, forcing hospitals in Gaza to stop operations in treating war victims. Hospitals in Gaza are now completely paralyzed, with war victims unable to receive treatment and many still buried under the rubble of buildings. The blocking of humanitarian aid to Gaza violated international humanitarian law and Article 3 of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, which requires humane treatment of civilians and noncombatants. Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas appealed for the ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors to be carried out immediately as the world is witnessing the destruction of Palestine.
Meanwhile, the impact of war also affected media social when certain words such as Hamas and some other words were blocked by Tik Tok. Reverse psychology should be conducted by promoting I Love Israel in media social, but the contents are loaded with images of Israeli atrocities. In the meantime, journalists and media workers in the Gaza Strip were also not spared by Israeli atrocities when 23 journalists were killed since Oct 7, 23 and many were reported injured and missing in the turbulent area. The world is urging the United Nations to investigate these killings.
Palestinian solidarity shown by Malaysians proves Malaysia protests the atrocities of the Israeli regime and is united in defending the rights of Palestine. Although we are far away from Palestine, every second touches the hearts of Malaysians and we understand the brutality of the Zionists. Therefore, Malaysians should not be afraid to voice Free Palestine and continue to reveal Israeli atrocities in the eyes of the world.
