MARIGNANE, 26 JAN – Airbus Helicopters recorded a solid performance in 2025 by securing 544 gross orders and 536 net orders. These figures reflect robust market growth across both the global civil and military sectors.
The company solidified its dominance with a 51% share of the civil and parapublic market. Meanwhile, its foothold in the military sector climbed to 28%. Throughout the year, Airbus successfully delivered 392 helicopters to 205 customers across 50 countries.
Airbus Helicopters CEO Bruno Even highlighted that the nearly 20% jump in order intake proves the company’s modern portfolio meets the demands of an increasingly complex security environment.
“Our exceptional performance in 2025 shows that our civil and military portfolio is delivering the exact mission capabilities required today,” Even said in a statement released by Airbus.
He noted that defense and security have become key strategic priorities. The company is actively expanding its Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities through the integration of Survey Copter into its core operations.
“By combining drones with our unique HTeaming capabilities, we are providing a comprehensive network ecosystem for the modern battlefield,” Even added, thanking global customers for their continued trust.

Strategic Wins and Global Contracts
Throughout 2025, Airbus Helicopters secured several key government commitments. A standout was a significant order from Spain for 100 helicopters. This deal comprises 50 H145Ms, 31 NH90s for all three military branches, and an initial order for the H175M.
Germany continued its fleet modernization by exercising options for an additional 20 H145Ms, bringing their total to 82 units. The country also accepted the first delivery of the NH90 Sea Tiger for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare missions.
The NH90 program saw renewed momentum elsewhere. The Netherlands added three aircraft to its fleet, Greece signed a follow-on support contract, and Germany received its first Sea Tiger variant.
In the heavy segment, the Super Puma family performed well. Greece ordered eight H215s for firefighting operations, while Morocco signed a contract for 10 H225Ms. Iraq also took delivery of its first batch of the same variant.
The light twin-engine segment also posted impressive results with H135 orders coming from Spain and the UK’s National Police Air Service. Meanwhile, the H145 emerged as the year’s best-seller with 149 orders.
Innovation and Expansion
On the technology front, Airbus Helicopters unveiled its new generation H140 at VERTICON 2025 and secured 61 firm orders. The company also hit a major milestone with its Racer demonstrator, which achieved a cruise speed of 440 km/h.
To support rising global demand, Airbus has broken ground on a new Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Vemagal, Karnataka, India. This facility is set to become the fourth global production hub for the H125 helicopter.
Airbus is scheduled to release its full 2025 financial results on February 19, 2026. – airtimes.my
